Bike Tour Laion

Bike Tour Laion

Just 16 km and 660 m elevation gain - a moderately difficult tour which is just packed with variety and really offers everything that a mountain biker might ask for. Steady climbs, level stretches, super descents, forest and meadow trails. The main village Laion is the starting point for this pleasure circuit, from there you go to the Putzerhof and Figisterhof and then off up to 1,596 m elevation, the highest point to the tour. Afterwards it’s mostly downhill and level back to the starting point.
Alpine Trail Unterpulg

Alpine Trail Unterpulg

Although, at 5 km and 460 m elevation gain, this is shorter than the first tour, it is no less demanding. Starting from Laion, pretty soon after, you’re going properly uphill - your destination, the mountain hut in Unterpulg is at 1,553 m above sea level. If your condition is not up to some of the climbs and you don’t have electrical help at hand, you can simply push your bike for a while on this tour. When you’ve arrived at the mountain hut you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular panorama in the direction of the Val Gardena and the Sciliar - and with South Tyrolean delicacies.
Ramitzl Alpine Trail

Ramitzl Alpine Trail

A continuation of the Unterpulg Alpine Trail: after the first 4.4 km, rather than turning off towards the Unterpulg mountain hut, you continue to travel uphill to the Ramitzler Schwaige, which you will reach in about 2.7 km. You’ll need to pedal seriously hard to manage the 719 m elevation gain. What’s awaiting you? Wonderful views and a fantastic refreshment stop. From the Ramitzler Schwaige, those who are particularly sporty can still do the about 1.5 hour climb on up to Laion’s own local mountain, the Rasciesa di Fuoro.
