A strong high-pressure system centred over Central Europe is determining the weather, but on the southern side of the Alps the air masses are layered in an unstable manner.

Sunshine will be widespread until the afternoon. Later on, a few thunderstorms may develop.

In the morning, conditions in the mountains will be good, with plenty of sunshine. In the afternoon, the likelihood of thunderstorms will increase slightly again.

Sunshine will prevail from early morning until evening, with only a few shallow cumulus clouds developing. In the valleys close to the Alpine crest, a northerly Föhn wind will blow.
